One Shot Prose Rules
A one shot must be at least eight hundred words long to be able to tell a fair story. This is not including the title, or any commentary you may give.
One shot prose will never be approved for a mature rating. If you plan on writing a one shot fiction, plan on writing it so that it stays at a PG-13 level or lower.
Any inappropriate comments or one shots will be deleted and the user’s account will be given a warning. For other information about other punishments that may follow, please see the Getting Banned section of User Account Rules.
Fan Fiction Rules
A fan fiction section will be in every prose area, so please submit your fan fiction to the correct area. If you do not, the fiction will be moved, and a warning will be send to your Private Messages. If this occurs again, a warning will be given to your account.
Please post all chapters in the same thread. There is no reason to make a new thread for every chapter you write.
If you wish to write a mature fan fiction, please note me with the proper information: See the Language and Sexuality section. If your fan fiction is accepted to be mature, you must state in the title that it is mature.
Any inappropriate comments or fan fictions will be deleted and the user’s account will be given a warning. For other information about other punishments that may follow, please see the Getting Banned section of User Account Rules.

A prose is a story, not a script. Any script stories will immediately be deleted and the user will be sent a Private Message warning them and explaining why their story was deleted. If enough of you want a script section, one will be made.
Please post all of your chapters in the same thread. There is no reason to make a new thread for every chapter you write for your story.

Prose Critique Rules
When posting your prose – be it fan fiction, one shot, or original – to be critiqued, you must have a strong backbone and heart. You must also be ready to hear what others have to say that you may need to work on better.
Bashing and flaming is not allowed at all in these – or any – threads. If anyone is found bashing or flaming, a warning will be sent to their Private Messages and the post will be deleted. If it persists, the message will, again, be deleted, and the account will be warned. Any further offenses of this type will result in a two day ban, followed by a one week ban, followed by a one month ban.
To critique, you must state both positive and negative aspects of the story. You must try to explain how the author may better improve their work, and you should explain why you like what you like. Critique is about helping people, not hurting them. You want them to get better. Pointing out grammatical errors and explaining why they are errors is always a good way to help, too.

.:Language and Sexuality:.
All Sections
Any literature that isn’t labeled as mature should not abuse any vulgarities or contain any sexual situations. Keep this in mind when you post your prose and poetry.
Comments should be just as clean, with o vulgar language. (If you don’t understand what I consider to be vulgar, visit the Language section of the User Account Rules.)
Abuse of language in a story will result in the story being deleted and the account being warned. Any post containing vulgar language will have their post deleted and their account warned. Any repeat offenses will result in a two day ban for the guilty party, followed by a one week then one month ban for continued offenses.
To have a mature story posted on the forums you must first send me a Private Message both describing what the story is going to be about and giving me at least four pages of the story to read. If your story is approved it cannot have sexually explicit scenes, must be titled as being mature, and similar rules to a mature role play will apply.
No gratuitous nudity – a small amount is okay. Please keep the story as a story, and let the character dialogue be more than swearing. Alcohol, violence, and some gore will also be allowed in the story.
If you go above these standards, a warning will be given to you via Private Message, advising that you edit your story.
