Nicholas Coke was born without a brain, just a brain stem, yet his parents kept him alive despite being told this, and that he would only live for a couple of hours. He's made it to two years of age, but he's blind, deaf, and cannot do anything other than the basic functions for life.
Is it right for his parents to have kept him alive? Should they have told the doctors that they didn't want him to live; that he wouldn't really be living due to not having a brain? What do you think? Explain, please.
